Feel’s Like Home

Alice arrived a few weeks later with so much anticipation and energy that the whole gang was in an upheaval of emotions. It was just the kind of family reunion that everyone wanted. Bobby and Sarah were both eager to get their share of attention from Alice. And Sarah couldn’t wait to show Alice her room. “See Alice, this is where your clothes will go, and you can put your bed here…” she went on excitedly. “Ok, Sarah,” Leah said, “Let’s let Auntie Alice get settled in while you and I can bake some welcome home cookies for her; how does that sound?” Sarah was reluctant at first; she wanted to show Alice around. But she agreed with her mom and moved slowly to their kitchen, pulling a chair up to the counter to reach it.
